Love Acadiana joined national Christian disaster response organizations and church leaders at the DRRN Roundtable, hosted by Church of the Highlands and organized by ServeSource. This Kingdom-focused event was a powerful time of connecting, collaborating, learning – and refreshing, preparing us to bring help and hope in the name of Jesus to those affected by disaster.
Together, we built meaningful relationships and exchanged best practices to strengthen our ability to respond when disaster strikes. We’re grateful for ServeSource‘s leadership in bringing like-minded ministries together so we can serve our communities with even greater impact in times of crisis.
Leaders from ministries like Eight Days of Hope, Mercy Chefs and Elevation Church, to name a few, contributed to the discussions. Our executive director, Tara Baudoin, led a breakout session on building a disaster response ministry at your church. It was a phenomenal week of inspiration and connection and we are definitely better together. We look forward to hosting the first DRRN Regional Roundtable in June, as a spinoff of this event.
