On October 4 we hosted a First Aid and Basic Life Support Training, sponsored by Dr. David Allie and the Louisiana Cardiovascular & Limb Salvage Center, and State Representative Annie Spell. The training, led by certified American Heart Association trainer Renée Rush, focused on preparing volunteers to respond effectively in emergency situations. Participants learned CPR, the Heimlich maneuver, dehydration treatment and how to properly apply a tourniquet, essential skills for those working with us in the field. Thank you to everyone who took the time to learn these life-saving techniques.
