Love Acadiana hosted a Level 2 chainsaw training on August 16 to equip our disaster response lead team with safe stormfall removal skills. The training, held near the OSC-Midtown campus, was led by certified arborist and experienced “red cutter” Matthew Topper of Stormwise.
Volunteers received hands-on instruction focused on safety, proper technique for clearing hazardous trees following disasters. The session provided critical, real-world experience in a controlled environment, helping volunteers prepare to assist neighbors in times of crisis.
