In March our volunteers blitzed TEN projects across Acadiana, including improvements at four DCFS (Department of Child & Family Services) offices; handyman projects for a single foster mom; and we partnered with another local support organization, Foster the Love, to complete various hands-on projects. In addition, volunteers cooked and delivered over 170 meals for foster families, while still others helped two families from Our Savior’s Church with home repairs and renovations, to get them closer to certification so they can foster. We are so excited to say that more than 90 volunteers served to support families who are responding to the call to foster. We are committed to addressing the foster care crisis in Acadiana, and showing the love of Jesus to all children in need.
