Love Acadiana organized a Tarp Training event with Matthew Topper, CEO of Stormwise Consulting, who provided classroom teaching followed by hands-on instruction. The training roof we built on the ground this summer proved very helpful, as many groups were able to safely practice new techniques at once. If you drive by our facility and notice tarps on the training roof, you’re just witnessing a friendly competition to see which group’s techniques will hold up best. Thanks to all the volunteers who braved the heat to improve their skills. Whether serving with Love Acadiana or helping in their own backyard, they will be able to love people even better after a disaster.
