On Saturday, June 1, we completed a major yard cleanup for a bereaved, single mother in Maurice who had not fully recovered from the storms of 2020. After losing a child in 2023 and subsequent storms of life, it became nearly impossible for her and her other children to keep up. Over time, weeds, trees, grass and bushes all became overgrown making it unpleasant and unsafe for her children to be in the yard.
Our team of volunteers trimmed bushes, chainsawed trees, raked up leaves and debris, bulldozed and then smoothed out the lot with heavy equipment to make it safe and fun to be outside again. Now the family can play, tend to their animals (much needed therapy) and make new memories as they continue the healing process.
Thank you for listening as God prompted you to serve. Your efforts bring hope and Light to those enduring seasons of darkness.
