On June 21, we headed to Henderson to muck out a home that had been flooded during the recent storm event in Breaux Bridge. Mold was beginning to grow which would become a health hazard for this single mother and her four small children. More than a dozen volunteers sacrificed their time and comfort to share the love of Jesus with this family. They spent the day cutting out moldy Sheetrock, cleaning up dust and debris, cutting and edging the yard, and they even repaired the gate on her fence. Now that the deterioration of conditions has been halted, and some of the tasks which seemed insurmountable for this mom have been done, she can focus on the road to recovery.
Thanks to all the hard-working volunteers who showed their faith by their works.
