Love Acadiana partnered with Our Savior’s Church-Midtown to host a Back-to-School Bash, an event aimed at equipping students with essential supplies for the upcoming school year. Volunteers welcomed families, offered prayers, and provided support throughout the day. Each student received a fully stocked backpack in preparation for the 2025-2026 school year, and two children won brand new bikes at the event! Many more won haircuts, meals from Raising Cane’s and more. Dozens of volunteers and donors made the event possible.
As a special full-circle moment, our friends from the Lafayette Regional DCFS Office, whom we’ve served as part of our foster care program, came to serve with us. For years, we’ve partnered with DCFS to encourage their workers, and also to help inspire more foster families in the Church to step up.
