Volunteers with Love Acadiana spent Sept. 6 supporting kinship foster families* and showing appreciation to regional employees of Department of Children & Family Services (DCFS). One group of volunteers assisted families by leveling homes and installing flooring so they could complete the requirements for foster certification. At the same time, another team prepared appreciation jars to encourage DCFS employees, who often work long hours to ensure children in the region have safe and stable homes. We are especially thankful to Raising Cane’s for powering our volunteers that day.
